I like cocktails. That’s a fact. So, when I received an invite to the preview of Cocktails in the City I couldn’t refuse!

Cocktails in the City is a three day cocktail extravaganza, taking place this week from 10th – 12th March, at One Mayfair. There will be twenty of London’s most exciting bars, alongside international bars from Paris, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. This is a chance for some of the world’s finest bar tenders to showcase their cocktail making skills and introduce you to an array of unusual and rare ingredients.

There is so much on offer from London’s cocktails scene and this event brings the best together for three nights. Experience four floors filled with pop-up bars in the beautiful Grade II listed building for a pretty epic cocktail party!

I had a great time sipping some delicious cocktails! We worked our way around the different ‘bars’ learning all about the story behind the cocktails and the ingredients they use. One of my favourite cocktails of the night was the offering from Coq D’argant and Johnnie Walker, which included sparkling sake. I had never tried sake before and really enjoyed this sparkling version!

Another highlight was the cocktail from The Whip and Chase Vodka which consisted of rhubarb vodka, pink grapefruit and pale ale. It’s their take on a Radler – a German shandy – as their inspiration. It was so refreshing and I’ll definitely be trying to recreate this one at home. Would be perfect for summer parties!

It’s definitely an interactive experience where the bar tenders will create imaginative and innovative cocktails for you to enjoy all under one roof! They truly enjoy what they do and are very knowledgeable about the ingredients and methods they use, which is great to see. Each bar will be offering delicious tastings and interactive demonstrations too.

I would definitely recommend grabbing some tickets if like me you love to try new cocktails! At £7.50 a cocktail I think it’s pretty good value. You will get to try cocktails from some of the best bars in London and in a beautiful setting!

Tickets are £15 and includes one cocktail with entry worth £7.50. All additional cocktails are £7.50.

I was invited to the press preview of Cocktails in the City, but as always, all views are my own.
