About me
Hi I’m Vicky and welcome to Dalton Banks! I live in Southeast London and I work in Events and Travel. I love cocktails and I have a thing for pizza and brunch – you can usually find me eating my way around London or cooking at home.
I set up this blog in June 2014 to focus my passion for all things food and it quickly began to include my travels too. I love to cook and to eat out and nearly every trip I plan revolves around where to find the best food! I’m that person who spends all day looking at the menu and deciding what I should order that evening – I get very bad food envy which my friends find hilarious.
The blog
On my blog I publish easy to follow recipes inspired by my travels, cook books and copious restaurant eating; there are travel guides to destinations all over the world, travel itineraries and hotel reviews; and I share the best food and drink from around London, including lots of delicious London brunch spots.
Life is too short to spend your precious time and money on food and travel that aren’t worth while. I write honestly about food and travel and hope to inspire my readers to travel to new places, eat new foods and try hidden gems in London. Dalton-Banks is for those who are interested in broadening their travel and food horizons.
Freelance Work
My previous freelance work includes managing social media channels to increase ticket sales for events, creating press releases and copy for newsletters and websites. End-to-end event management of food pop-ups. Liaising with press over coverage and blogger outreach. Helping with proposals for new areas of business.
I recently created Your Curator for my event management and travel planning services.
