Black Dice, Heddon Street

Black Dice, Heddon Street
Hidden behind the pink door below Momo on Heddon Street, lies Black Dice. A cocktail bar inspired by rock’n’roll lifestyles of the 1960s, Black Dice is a dark underground space ornately decorated with a feel of speakeasy about it.

There are some unusual and modern twists to old classics thanks to Heads, Hearts & Tails being behind the bar menu. At £12.50 they may seem on the expensive side, but they are made so well you soon forget about the price tag. Two cocktails of particular note: Kashmir (Tanqueray Gin, Manzanilla, Maraschino, Raspberry Cordial, Lemon Juice,Mint, Smoked Mist) and Black Salute (Bulleit Rye, Punt e Mes, Fernet Branca, Salted Pineapple).

They also serve a selection of mezze style dishes as an extension from Momo upstairs. We loved the Chicken skewers and charcoal aubergine. The dishes are perfect for soaking up all those cocktails you’ll be drinking. They also have live music on Tuesdays so keep an eye out for whats on.

Very good cocktails, a dark comfy interior and great tunes makes this the perfect place for a late night stop. In their own words, cocktail first, question later.
