A few weeks ago I was very kindly invited to watch the epic Florence + The Machine at the O2 by Debenhams. I picked an outfit suitable for the festive season to wear along to the night. I’m not really a sequin party girl, but I love a festive dinner party so I decided to pick something with that in mind.
So with that in mind and with some festive dinners coming up over the next few weeks I decided to find something that was more of an alternative festive outfit. Something that could be mixed and matched with other items to create an array of outfits perfect for dinner parties over the Christmas period.
I love how bright accessories can really make an outfit pop, so after seeing these awesome bright red boots in store I knew I had to have them! And I mean they really are the perfect festive colour. I knew how versatile they would be as they can be worn with skinny black jeans, cropped jeans, dresses with tights during the cold months and bare legs in (a hopefully!) warm summer. Perfect.
Debenhams has a great selection of clothes for the festive dinner party season from sparkles to understated elegance. I decided to keep the rest of my outfit pretty understated to let those boots shine. And also, when I’m out for dinner I like to be comfortable in what I wear. I have to make sure there is room for my food baby!
The evening was incredible as we were treated to a VIP box at the O2. It was lovely to meet some old and new faces whilst we enjoyed Florence and her incredibly beautiful voice. It was a definite a pinch me moment as I sat there and listened to her sing – we played You’ve got the love as our first dance at our wedding!
Here’s the outfit in full – I paired it with a leather jacket and couldn’t be happier with my festive dinner party outfit. I’ll probably be wearing this on Christmas day too!
Thank you to Debenhams for an awesome evening!
